Does anyone know what this stamp is on the receiver of my CE41 Jp Sauer K98k? Both the crosses swords and the alpha numeric stamps I have never seen before.

Czechoslovakian or now Czech Republic ownership or proof mark.

Thank you for the reply. The swords or the alpha numeric stamp or both indicate Czech origin? Would this rifle have been German during the war and then reworked in Czechoslovakia after the war?

The Czechoslovakian/Czech Army acceptance mark of two crossed Roman swords has been used since their independence from the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1919. It is quite possible that the rifle was originally German and then accepted into Czechoslovakian service.

Interesting. I don’t believe it to be a Czech postwar rifle since nothing is ground off of it in terms of receiver codes, and both eagles on the left side are very lightly peened but have very visible swastikas. Maybe was just used by Czech military post war. Also does anyone know which letter block this is?
