I plan on having my gunplumber put me an AR15 together.

Don't want to do it myself since I have no clue about it.

Maybe you guys can help me out with a few pointers.

Rough guidelines are:

10.5" or 11.5" barrel
flattop
ambidextrous safety
no AFG or forward grip
no Magpul BAD lever
Aimpoint H1
BFG 2 pt sling (love em)
A2 muzzle break (for putting an already existing B&T Rotex 5 suppressor on)

what BIUS should I use?
what are good brands for lower and upper receiver?
what did I miss?

They are seriously easy to build yourself check out some tutorials on youtube.....Aero Precision are a decent priced upper and lower and respected my most

They are easy, however you do need some of the right tools, to get it right.

BUIS, are looking for 1/3 co-witness or absolute? , Troy are pretty good and modestly priced.
Upper and lower, I'm guessing in your "neck of the woods" maybe HK, Colt Canada are G2G, if you don't have those, do a little research on " end users" reviews of the lower, since you want to use a quality lower parts kit (LPK) and want to make sure everything "fits" in the right place, upper and lower fit is a consideration as well.
Get a good quality bolt carrier group (BCG)
Cold Hammer forged (CHF) barrel is a good investment

You may want to get an complete upper and then source a lower and add the LPK etc?

That's all I got for now, good luck & stay safe.

Here's an upper I put together awhile back, maybe a pic will help you visualize what you want? so a Diemaco receiver, Colt FBI run, hvy 11.5" barrel, Knights (KAC) RAS, Matech BUIS. Here's a group the other day , I was "breaking it in" an once it settled down after a few rds, it was G2G.

That's at 100yd, and the white box is 2" for scale. Once it "settled in" it was pretty decent.

Looks good, thanks

I don't have the tools, nor the workshop, and I just don't really want to do it myself anyway. Need a holder of a firearms trader licence to order me the parts anyway, so might as well have him put it together.

Makes perfect sense, good luck. IIRC didn't Zib have a bunch of HK "stuff" for sale awhile ago?

They did. But I don't really care for HK. My dealer actually has very good connections to the supplier of ZIB and even put together a few HK416's and other stuff.

I like your built, very simple and no unnecessary stuff.

I understand, the reason I mentioned it was that the HK lower is a pretty good lower, you could paint it etc if you wanted?
HK uses a "proprietary" barrel nut so the upper is a no good for ya, unless your going to use one of there barrels?

No worries, sounds like your headed in the right direction, BTW I am just a bit jealous that you are mounting a B&T Rotex suppressor, LOL,

The lower would be an option then. Maybe he still has one floating around. Might be.

Yeah, suppressors are great. Ever since I got this constant ringing in my ears I really appreciate them.
Thankfully our firearms offices make it possible to get them with a "exception permit" for collectors, hunters or the like, even though they're officially "prohibited".
No swiss law without an exception

In the past 10 months I put suppressors on all the guns that I regularely use. Way more comfortable for everyone, especially the people around me.

The MP5 with subsonic ammo is a blast.

I just bought two of those Aero lowers, they delivered quick in about seven days from order placement (even with RCMP clearance). I'm building mine from the ground up, all by myself hopefully. I don't have any of the tools either, but getting them and getting to know the process is half the reason I am doing this at all. At least one of mine will be a shortie like yours.

Just got back from the gunsmith.

Going to be using Aero lower and upper with a BCM handguard. Still not sure about the stock though. On my other AR I have a Magpul CTR, which is just fine.

What are you guys using?

Stuff dreams are made of right there. Hopefully one day in Canada. I have fake suppressors on everything I own, mostly because they redirect a lot of the noise downrange vs. back at the shooter like a muzzle brake.

Have you tried the B&T Blast Deflector? Works very good. I was surprised when I first saw one.
All of my rifles and handguns are 9mm. I could only find the B&T's in 5.56 or 7.62, nothing bigger. The fake suppressors are dirt cheap (search "display suppressor" on a z tech website) compared to the B&T's, work really well, and I love the dirty looks and questions I get from range officers, especially when shooting 9mm 165gr subsonic ammo through it, sounds quieter than .22LR at the shooters ears (18.6" barrel).

Shoot ten rounds out of your pistol without a mag change at my range and you get a dirty look. Lol

They're not hard to come by.

Love that Tav.

And it's finally done.

Took me a while to find out what exactly I want.

My gunplumber really did a good job.
Aero Precision upper and lower
10,5" barrel
B&T Rotex 5 suppressor

Sling is not yet attached and a light is missing.
