That will explain recommendations for high magnification scopes as target shooters generally seek to shoot the smallest groups. For other uses such hunting and plinking, lower power scopes such as 2-7 or 3-9 may be quite adequate.

I'll answer.
A Sightron fixed 36x on the Krico 330s I picked up from guess who?
A Mueller 8-32x on a much modified CZ455 Varmint.
A Bushnell Elite 6-24x on a modified Marlin 70.
3-9x40 scope. At 50 yards im typically using 4x power when hunting, maybe 6x while shooting paper.
