Where to buy annular cutters

I had to do a search for what annual cutter is...
An annular cutter (also called as core drill, core cutter, broach cutter, trepanning drill, hole saw, or cup-type cutter) is form of core drill used to create holes in metal. An annular cutter cuts only a groove at the periphery of the hole and leaves a solid core or slug at the center.


In over 50 years of gunsmithing I have never needed one of these kits.

What are you going to do with it and firearms?

Waddya know! Something they don't have.

Lacking better info, he wants a gyppo set for cutting down muzzles for threading with a die.
Can't see any other reason he'd be specifying caliber pilots in conjunction with.

Unless he was looking for a piloted crown facing cutter. Which was my first thought. And my reason for cutting straight through the poo and just telling him to order it in.
Because if he had a lathe, and knew how to use it without hurting himself, he wouldn't need to buy either.
 
Hell, any hardware store that carries Milwaukee power tools is like to have the cutters themselves. Definitely any industrial supply house. Almost any machine Tool supply house too. Even Princess Auto has a Mag Drill now, IIRC.

But all of them are gonna look at you like yer a window licker, if you ask them for ones with pilots, let along asking for pilots in XX caliber.
