Looking for recommendations on who is the Colt SAA guru in Canada?

I want to get some mods and tuning done on it.

Also looking for a smith that can make and fit grips with my own supplied material (ivory in this case).

Thanks

Thanks Paul, that's exactly where google pointed me to when I searched for a six shooter gunsmith.

If you can send it to Jim Martin. That man knows his stuff.
I don't know how much work he is still doing but i do keep in contact with him. The only downside is he is in the states.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'm trying to avoid sending it south of the border.

Update; I spoke to Peter at Rusty Wood Trading and they can't do the grips.

Still looking for more recommendations.

I may have to send the ivory blanks state side, get the grips made oversized and get them fitted back here.

That would be illegal for you, and illegal for them. Send them across the international border and you may be talking to US and Can. Customs, the RCMP and FBI...

That is not a joke. "thank you Pres. Obama..."

In the US, they can no longer legally send ivory State to State in most cases. A lot of the Ivory master grip makers don't/can't work with ivory anymore.

Not illegal at all since it's ivory from mammoth tusk interior, CITES doesn't care about animals that went extinct 10,000 years ago lol.
