Perfect spray and pray .22 MP-40

Just got mine, love it. Runs great. But definately tough to get a good sight picture. In person the extra barrel length doesn't look near so bad as it does in the pictures. Here is a pic of it getting introduced to the family.

I love your family photo!

May I ask about that Thompson in the middle, is that a 12X or........???

So how does it shoot. Are sights on for point of impact and how’s reliability’

The gun comes with 5 front sights to adjust for elevation, and the rear is adjutable for windage, so zeroing it shouldn't be a problem. Thus far reliability has been 100%, but i haven't put a real volumn through it. This was using Blaser solid point ammo, whitch tends to feed well in everything i have. But a goid sign with the gun not being broken in yet.

The Thompson is a kit utilizing a Ruger 10-22 as its basis. I bought it already put together so don't know to much more about it. It came with a straight handgrip and unfluted barrel to replicate the later wartime version as well.

My sights are good. This is a nice little single shot rifle.

5 types of ammo so far and it only shoots one round at a time. Bang, Unjam, bang, Unjam, bang, Unjam.

Anyone else? Mines going back unfortunately. I had higher hopes.

I thought MP-40's were only met to be shot from the hip :p

Sorry... Don't want to hijack the thread, but where did you get the Thompson kit?

Also, looking forward to taking out the MP40 this weekend. Accidentally pre-ordered 4 magazines... twice... So I now have 9 mags to do mag dumps with.

Mine works fine and only used one type of ammo.Cheap federal conical stuff.Had a couple of duds in the bunch but no jams. You got a problem there for sure.Blue Line says they warranty them for life so tell us what transpires.

where did you order it from? did it come with the sight? just ordered mine from cabelas this weekend and wondering if it will come with a removable sight or not

So far so good. Reliable 100% no jams. I was shooting with shortest front post (single dot) and with lower rear sight settings prints 3 inch group at 50m just below target. With higher rear sight settings print just above target.
Target size was 3 inch circle. So far I had to adjust front sight, adjust trigger, modify trigger bar, polish the sears, shim rear sight base with stainless steel shim and then I will be hitting range again to finalise zeroing iron sight.
Originally trigger was horrible but after all moods it feels more than decent. Very short first stage and clean, crisp and predictable break at second.

Did another thorough clean and had it out today again. Still doesn't like Winchester or CCI ammo, but better, 1 in 10 jammed or failed to feed. Federal Automatch was much better with only 1 in maybe 50 rounds, as was Eley.

I'll clean it again now and hopefully it sorts out. I don't mind running Automatch anyway, but I think it just needs to break in a bit and it will be good to go. If not, I have no doubt Blueline will make it right.

Wow I didn't know that there was a Thompson clone GSG gun. I'll definitely want to check that out. Too bad the MP5 clone isn't importable.
