The New Beretta 92X

I just rewatched the vid on my laptop, I take that back on the long trigger reset. It looks a lot shorter than standard 92FS at 23sec.

I gather in Italy civilians can't have guns chambered in military calibers like 9x19, so they created the 9x21 with the same ballistics to get around it.

"#### we lost the contract. Pimp this out to keep this going."

HAHA how true.

The features are mostly things that are standard or have been standard on other makes for decades.

frame mounted safety- Yeah that's been ergonomic and practical for over a century, although more modern guns do away with silly manual safeties.
Grip checkering front and back- Yep, been around many many years on most other makes.
Removable/replaceable front sight(albeit not new to the 92X it is fairly new to the 92 family)- Yes, it too has been standard for many decades on many makes.
Larger mag release- Available or standard for many years on other makes.
A trigger that doesn't replicate a staple gun- Been around for decades on many other makes. Or get with the striker fired crowd and avoid DA/SA problems altogether.

Not for me, but the improvements are nice to see. The price kills it..

Billenium redux.
I'd prefer to have had the regular safeties that Beretta is known for, not the Stock/Combat ones this one has. It's a DA gun, does not need safeties at all, just the decocker feature. Cool that they got Eddy to sign on with them.

My thoughts exactly, if they are going after the production divisions they could have released it as a G model decocker only but either way its nice they brought back the steel frame, it was about the only thing keeping them from being competitive with the other steel framed guns. Adjustable travel and reset on the trigger is a nice feature also.

Going to be a crowded market for the top end competition market. Slavex comment on the slide mounted decocker is spot on. I put a G kit on both my 92A1's - so much better than the manual safety system. Now if I could only pull the trigger like the guy in the video. I guess all I need is this model. .....

Take Care

Are g kits available for sale in Canada? If so I wonder if they would work in my 90-two.
