I was looking at one for the Snake Pit and found the US pricing to be in excess of $6K USD..OUCH!With only 1200 being made(Lew Horton exclusives) they can pretty much ask what they want...Last I saw was a 6in at RIA that sold for $11,500US....

Someone at Ellwoods seems to have gotten their pricing a little screwed up. That was a bargain!!

Haha, you weren't the only one mid-transaction when it sold. A really nice piece, I'm sure. It looks like Epps received someones Colt collection... quite a few interesting pistols, but none as extremely bargain priced as that Boa.

The pricing is totally out of wack. 1800 for the Boa and 3300 for an Anaconda? Should be the opposite.

Probably an employee they list them in the system as a formality but it already “claimed “ but to be honest I have traded a gun in there and while talking to the guy behind me he literally told the guy “just ring it up for me I want it”

They had a peach of a Remington on their site for 500$. Emailed them for pics, got the pics and called them. It was sold. Inside job likley but whatever.

You have to wonder... not hard for a firearms person to do a search and fairly price an item.

I'm sure you're not the only one who feels that way. Someone did well on that buy.

Yup, and if he’s able to ship it south of the border it will probably fetch $3-4K USD w/o the original box and papers and in “used” condition, it’s gonna be harder to sell.

It would have “easily” sold for over twice that price. So yeah, someone had to lowball the consignment to triple his money on a quick deal.

A Boa is so scarce that any employee that don’t know what it is had to do a quick google search to see what he really had there... since they bring $6-10k in the USA, around $3.5k would have been the price up here.

I would be upset if it were from an Estate or widow and it was to be on consignment. The dealer is responsible to determine fair market value and this was certainly not the case. Imagine where an Anaconda is priced at over $3K and somebody prices this rarity for only $1800? Very suspicious indeed..Makes me wonder if their store is also a legalized pot shop and it was 'sample day' :)

I'd tend to give Epps the benefit of the doubt that it was not an "inside" job. I've picked up a few very nice items from Epps over the years that were priced *well* below their market value. No doubt whoever set the price did not do proper research, but I would lean to thinking that the sale was totally legitimate and someone saw the ad right away and was a fast typer.
