After many years of being mad at the way my rockchucker misses the primer catcher 50% of the time or more I finally decided to do something about it. It costs virtually 0$.
Assuming you don't prime on the press.
Take the ram out, plug the hole down the center where the priming arm goes in, reinstall the ram rotated 180 degrees. Now the primers hit the plug and eject about a 3/4-1" higher on the ram than they did before and actually make it into the primer catch. The shell holders slide in from the back now.

I turned a little piece of metal on the lathe to plug the hole, but a pen lid, piece of dowel, a ball of tape or whatever could be used.

If this is old news / everyone already does that, let me know and I'll delete.

I like the idea. I think that you could then get one of the 3d printed plastic primer catchers mounted to the back of the press and catch all the primers.

I had a friend with a 3d printer make of of these for me. Now it catches every primer and sends it down a 1/2" tube into an empty water bottle under the bench. Fantastic upgrade.
There was a guy selling these on Ebay, not sure if he still does.

They work fantastic. I printed mine as well as a plug for the front so now none of the primers get away from me

I use a section of a McDonalds drinking straw pushed into the groove on the ram to guide the spent primers. Works fairly well.
