Is the magazine follower in backwards?

The Swedish Crown and “B” mark on the mag (for AG42”B”) would say otherwise...

And that's why looking at pics on a phone is a fail!!!

I'm using the same ammo. My primers sit much higher.

It could be a weak magazine spring which might cause the follower ramp not to function properly. That is easy to check if the gun fires ok with a full mag.

Or it could be the length of the round. The gun was designed for the M/94 round which is 80 mm long or 3.15 inches.

I'll have to look in my reloading data but my rifle liked 140 grain ammo

Measure the length of the ammo. I never used soft tip projectiles. Also if the mag is mismatched it could be sitting lower than spec which would cause your type of feed issues. The mag was tuned to the rifle.

If your mag is seating ok, then check the feed lips. They may be bent in too much.

Yeah that's my bet. Feed lips might need to be tweaked. The gun came from a gunsmith according to the OP so the mag could be new to the gun and just need a tune-up. I'd stay away from that blunt soft point ammo though. Keep the ammo close to original m/94 at 140 grains with a long nose.
