7.62 x 54R

Sounds to me like another case where some A-hole complained to NRCan and got it banned much like they did with the surplus .30-06 and .30 carbine Marstar has stockpiled but is not allowed to sell - GRRR.

I wonder if the complainant has any ties to Igman or S&B??? (tinfoil hat ON).

A lack of 7.62x54r was the reason I brought a 6.5x55 swede.

Never a bad reason to get into a 6.5x55 Swede Rifle anyway...tastes refine over the years, commons sense prevails. :D
I might be slightly biased. :p

I wouldn't be surprised, it's often the nature of the biz.

Also just a heads up, while we are having the conversation...the Igman crap is NOT reloadable, the flash hole is too small for standard deprimer pins, and folks are breaking them off trying to de primer these cases, so IMHO it is over priced and should be priced the same as surplus.

i've reloaded quite a bit of igman 8x57, the odd primer pocket is tight, but the primer still goes in (with a hand priming tool).

how can something be approved and then un-approved?

I have experienced undersized flash holes on Igman 6.5x55, but all else has been fine. All I did was open up the flash hole and bingo presto it has been fine.
