Hi everyone, I bought this Diemaco marked canvas rifle(?) bag today at a show. Its practically brand new, trouble is I don't know what it is for. I thought at first it was a paratrooper drop bag, but my C8 clone only fits up to the pistol grip. Can anyone tell me what I have here?
Also wondering if this is a correct early C8 sling (last pic). Thanks!

Interesting, so the 13 in the serial code means the bag was made for Belgium?
The sling does not have any tags on it. An ex-ppcli guy told me it was correct for an early C8 but I want to be sure. Is it the current issue sling?

The Europeans call the rifles made in Canada "Diemacos" regardless of the model number. I'm not surprised the company would make sure its name was visible on accessories. But Belgium doesn't use Canadian guns. The Dutch and Danes, yes. But not the Belge.

They make Minimi and Mag58 barrels for countries around the world.

The sling looks correct. The tri glides will be marked Fastex. That's the only two point sling I've ever seen issued for the C7 & C8. It's correct for all of them from 1984 until now.

If the bag is lined in a heavy white woven fabric, it's a barrel bag. If not, the only Diemaco rifle I can think of that's shorter than a C8 would be the SAR Tech Ruger 77 which is 25 inches folded.
