Simcoe muskoka shooting competition

This thread is badly titled... I thought I was going to be reading about another "nut-job" shooting....

Mine is all set up with an old Leapers 8-32 x 56 and on standby a Hawke 2.5-10 x 42. Heading up to the cabin friday after work to boil down some maple sap and while at it test out a bunch of ammo including some Eley Edge and Match.

Now I'm eyeing a Vortex DB Tactical 6-24x50 First Focal Plane.
 
well ive only got a marlin xt22 and a 4x but i can put a big scope on it, count me in! i live in brechin so this will be fun. would be nice to meet some other CGN'rs

btw, as we're shooting 22lr, ive got quite a large 3/8 mild steel silhouette target that i could bring. would just need to get a hanger.

Was hoping to keep it simcoe muskoka, the problem with ontario ranges is typically the shooting must be at the base of berm. I thought of aproaching my club but we are not really set up for this
 
Location 1 found. Springwater, will post more details soon, looking at the 27th of april, was looking at the 20th but easter would have people not available. Please rsvp as it will be limited for the first shoot. Have to go 30 per person will be looking for some sponsors, or donations from area business.

Aha! Aw poop! I’m running a PR clinic and Match up in Garrison Petawawa that weekend. No worries....don’t let that stop you guys from having fun !

So far my schedule looks good for the 27th.

I've got some metal targets I can bring up for loan that day.

Just sighted in my new scope. Really like the optics on this Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24×50 FFP.

Love Amazon as well. Ordered a 22cal spinner target that arrived yesterday for some long range fun up at the cabin.

Remington Thunderbolts zeroed at 50 yards. 10 MOA for 140 yards. Another 3 MOA for 160 yards and another 2 MOA for 180 yards.

Hitting the spinner at 180 is to easy with my 457 MTR. I need to fell some trees to increase my shooting distance.
