Ruger PC Carbine

Just bought one, came with a threaded barrel which is nice. Will have to test it out soon. I going to CNC a magazine well inserter for my CZ mags.

I looked at 3D printing a mag adapter for CZ mags, but the locking slot was positioned too high, looked like I'd have to mill a slot in the CZ mag. No issue, I have lots of Glock mags.

Here it is:

This is with one butt spacer.

Looks like a good fit Mike, is one spacer max?
I've tried sling bags but unfortunately, they never feel as comfortable as a regular small pack on my back and shoulders.

I don't think it would fit any more spacers, already quite a tight fit. Too bad, as I'd prefer a little more LOP, but it's fine as is. I keep the extra spacers and tools in the pack.

This one has quite a wide and grippy sling. I find it quite comfortable to wear, but I'm sure not everyone would feel the same. It also has a second strap that connects it to the side for more stability in the back position. It comes around your waist and clips into the sling.

If you're in Vancouver, you could try one on at Warriors & Wonders. They tend to have these in stock. The Grayman version I got looks less "tactical" than the other models, which I liked. The other colours have MOLLE on practically every surface possible.

I have tried the Plan-B a while back, ordered from Amazon, tried it on around the house and decided it wasn't for me.
The gray is a nice color of sure. If you rotate your upper body more square with the target while shooting and keep your thumb along side the pistol grip and away from you nose.... you might find the one spacer set up just fine.... :)

I found a go pro Karma drone backpack at the local charity thrift shop a few weeks back for less then $10..... just need to gut the inside and re-foam.

Was wondering if anyone's heard of any attempt to create a PC Carbine magwell insert for 1911 magazines; looks like the feed angle is the same as Ruger's at least.

Also finding the stock doesn't have enough drop for my better half's shoulder sighting through the irons, though that might be fixed with a high-mount AR optic that would move the whole carbine that much downwards.

If your eyes are young enough to use the peep sight, all it really needs is a few extra mags and a sling. Spend the extra bucks on ammo.

This is what I'm thinking. Just got mine last week and will be hitting the the (indoor) range tomorrow. I do like the ghost ring sight - never had one before. If it works as well as it seems like it will I might just forgo the reddot/laser/optic upgrade.

so, i was playing with my M&P magazines the other day and noticed that they are the exact same dimensions as the SR9 magazines.
unfortunately they use a different magazine release mechanics, the SR9 has a single hole in the front of the magazine where the M&P is like the glock with a cut on either side of the magazine.

but....... there is a small hole in the M&P magazine and if a fella was good with a dremal he could probably just cut the required slot in the front of his M&P magazine and get it to seat.

the 2nd thing would be the angle, the M&P magazines are at more of a angle than the SR9 mag's.

just spit balling....

Was out at Mission today with Barfman and got to have a good look at the Ruger carbine close up. Thing's stoutly made, very solid feeling. Like the QD mechanism. I see the odd complaint about the 'ugly' forend; don't get it, found it elegant and very easy to handle, with no tendency for my left hand to wander into the section with rail in it. Quite a compact package when taken down - in that 'Greyman' sling with (I think he said) 150 rounds and a chunky red dot (not mounted) it was obvious quite a lot more could go into that rather small bag. Like a day's supply of food and water. A practical kit.

Shot mine out to 150m today.

I've got a 1-6x scope with 500m .223 BDC in it. With it zeroed at 50m the 300m BDC is good for a center hold at 100m and the 500m BDC is good for center hold at 150m.

It was extremely easy to hit the 8" round plates at 100m and the 12" diamond plate at 150m. Should have no issues hitting to that distance in PCC this season. Just have to figure out the 200m hold next.
