Looking for some ideas for a portable barricade.

Thinking 4’ high max and 2’ wide but could hinge out.

What are you all using?

Mine. Would be pretty easy to convert the bottom to a hinge. 4 bolts and some straight holes.

If I built it now, I would have moveable rungs. Yes, a hassle to set up, but worth it. Currently, most of the levels are too close together which makes it more a matter of inserting the rifle then positioning. Also makes realistic use of a game-changer pretty dicey.
Means you can also use slanted levels, holes in a plywood square, rope/chains etc.
The fixed base isn't too bad, I have space in my SUV and I just place my rifle cases on top of it.
I think Shawn is referring to something like this:

I made one out of rebar. Welded a bunch of arms off the side any which way and welded some pipes to the bottom so it slides onto a base.

I wrapped the rebar with some old air line I cut along the long axis and glued it on with gorilla glue. That way it wont damage the rifle.

Then I wrapped that with green duct tape.

I call it the practice cactus.

We also made one similar to the one pictured above out of 2x4s

The 2x4 version is more stable, but the rebar version is smaller and easier to store and handle.

Practice Cactus. Love it

I use a small extendable step ladder from Canadian tire, 13' extended like 4' collapsed but its very small
Or a smaller barricade that just fits inside my SUV. I have it sized to the exact width and length of my Rogue so I can still stack my guns on top of it.
