Depends on your application, if your range trip consists of multiple guns that need to be chronoed, you probably need a labradar or traditional style chrono. Be mindful the Labradar sometimes have issus picking up shots if the backstop is too close to you (e.g. in an individual pistol bay w/ 20m range). And if you often go to a busy public range that can also affect the reliability of Labradar as too many shots are fired at the same time (not that sever though). On the other hand, Magnetospeed works great if you only chronoing 1-2 rifles at once, but the Magnetospeed will not work on pistols very well (I have set it up on some of my handguns, it works, but just bearly). Some said they also worry about the fact a barrel attachment will affect the POI for long range/F-class load development. Johnny has a video on YT tested the effect with a negative result, and I did not find it affecting the POI that much also. At the end, I own 2 chronos, one Magnetospeed, and a traditional light-gated chronograph. The traditional one for my IPSC load development, and the Magnetospeed for long range rifle rounds.
Just my 2 cents
