Can a non(bc)-Resident get a tag to hunt Stone Sheep if he has a Hunter Host(sorry I don't know what you BC boy's call it when a buddy takes an Albertan hunting for sheep in your province)?

you can only get tags for species which there is a open general season and no LEH draws in the area you plan to hunt if I got it all correct and they havent changed anything ( and its a accompany to hunt permit

I just had a look at the reg's and it said that a "permit to accompany" is not available for all species and areas, for example, thin horned sheep. It then says, for more information call 1-866-433-7272

Thanks for the all the info gentlemen(Except Calum whom I thank for these strange tasting Brownies) I recently found out that my soon to be new best friend likes to run his jet boat deep into the mtn's in some prime Stone Sheep terrain and I got all jiggly inside. I'll find out exactly where his territory is and figure out what other animals might make the trip viable.

If you need a Stone Sheep bad enough I think the answer is to move to B.C. and begin applying for the LEH once eligible; plus then you would also be able to draw for LEH grizz'...

just move to bc, no need for LEH, there are very few places where stone's sheep are on LEH (spatzizi, edziza, etc). the vast majority of their range is on GOS.

I hate to burst your bubble but you CANNOT get a permit to accompany for Stone's Sheep or Grizzly. You MUST use the services of a guide/outfitter. Goat Caribou or moose are all okay though.

My buuble was burst a while ago and to make matters worse, these guys are trying to get me to move to BC and pay their taxes! I've already been PM'd 3 times from Albertans who want me to take them Steelehead fishing.

Who has time to fish when there are Stone Sheep to hunt?

I was trying to figure the same thing out Ike, but I am not going to tell you what the outcome was. Far be it for me to burst another one of your bubbles.

When are you packing up Caroline and the kids?

I know that when I talked to Victoria they informed me that they have had permits for stone sheep available to non-residents in the past, but the likely hood of them being available in the near future was next to nil. You hunter-host needs to apply in conjunction with you well ahead of time, also. It was awhile ago but so the details are a little fuzzy:p. Give them a call and see what the say now. Otherwise, start saving and think about the fiscal benefits of selling a kidney.:D
