Not sure if this is the right place but I'll start here and see what happens.

I am looking at 2 PP's and 1 PPK for sale (yes I have 12(6))
They have some German marks on them, not sure if that adds value or not.
There is holsters but I don't know if they are original.

If anyone has a lot of knowledge on these as to the value, how to look up the year or manufacture if that is possible, what any marking may mean (what factory or year made) etc I would be interested in speaking with you.

Can you tell me what I should be looking for when appraising them?
They are all 7.65

Feel free to pm me and i can send you pictures if that helps

Thank you
Marty

You can see pp's and ppk's in 32acp on the EE for $325 to $350. If they are in .380 you can get a fair bit more for them. Unfortunately unless they were something of special historical significance (say SS, or Hitler's own gun) collector value is not what it was. Scarcity is what makes something worth more money, and there are a ton of them out there and not many 12/6 holders, so any of us that wants one can get one without much difficulty. The .380's are the ones most sought after, but the majority of them are post war

Don’t know much about Dirty Eagles and such. My suggestion is to find a pre-1947 one so you can hand it down as a 12(7).

One thing, PPKs are snappy to shoot with hammer bite. And the DA pull is quite heavy.

Yup they are snappy even in 32 and almost unpleasant in 380 for more than a few mags. I might be soft though.
Anyway i’ll Happily make do with a 12.7 32 PPK but would have loved to add a stainless Sig P230/2 in 380.

I have a PP in .380, and love it. It does have a bit of a snap to it, but easy to control. I had a ppk in .380, and it was downright nasty. 1st and second shot were ok, but by third shot it has shifted enough that hammer bite was a definite possibility. I also have a Browning BDA in .380. While it is more manageable, the grip is large because of the double stack magazine. My PP is by far my favourite.

I have sold a couple pp, and a ppk last few months, ppk quicker sale , James you know.
they where 32. average price was 350.oo-400.oo, one pp was as new in box, post 1947.
You could get more, if you waited on a sale.
There are fellows here better on the markings than I would be, SS would a fair bit more value, and pre war, holsters if they match.
Also matching mags.. Years ago I had a complete set War issue, 80% 2 matching mag, and the matching holster, I think at that time I sold it for $500.oo
But for comparison at the same times Colt Pythons where under a grand.
3 gun package 800-900.oo tops, unless you Just have to have them. I would not be close to that , unless prewar.
The last one I bought was that as new in the box PP, I paid about 250.oo or so, some one here has it now, I think.

I also have both in .380 as well, no one I hand it to wants to shoot more than a mag haha
