Black Dog Machine 25round Magazines ordering from Brownells

Brownell's wont ship mags... at least they wouldn't on my last three attempts.

Ruger 10/22, 77/44, BLR... all were listed as restricted for shipping International.

A few years a go, I purchased all of these from Brownells with no problem, so I did not know if Brownell's had changed their policy or it the problem was with the OEM's ITAR/BATF paperwork.
 
I ordered a handful of 25rd BDM mags from Brownells a month ago and they had no issues taking my order or my money.
 
I ordered a few 1911 mags from them last year
BUT
Some .22 mags for an old savage 22 - they wouldn't ship because the manufacturer wasn't registered for export.
 
It might have to do with distribution rights, maybe the Canadian distributor told ruger/brownells to stop undercutting them?

It has to do with whether or not the OEM has registered the ITAR paperwork for export of that particular product... I assumed that Ruger and Browning would have done so, but apparently not... perhaps they are protecting their CDN distributors...

I might just go the the Brownell's website and put a couple dozen different mags in my shopping cart to see which ones get flagged and which ones don't.

Oh yea, my two comments were separate thoughts. I assume the same as you, second comment was the only thing I could think of that makes sense.

With the recent shutdown, maybe the paperwork was delayed ?

that's what I wanted to hear! I have ordered 1911 mags in the past from them without issues. But I wasn't sure if there was some sort of problem I was not aware of with the BDM 25 round .22lr mags. they will be used on my .22lr ATRS Modern Sporter.
 
I ordered some black dog mags a few months ago and just got a notice from cbsa stating reason for seizure is “ar15 mag”. Anyone get this before and then get them cleared?

They will not get cleared, your options are to relinquish them to customs or to hire a broker to pick them up and return them to the vendor for a refund (according to their policies)... bad news, any broker is going to charge $250+ to offer this service.
