Hi guys
Remington 870/1100 Bayo mounts are now ready for the open market.
We have fully tested them and will be ready to ship by the end of the month.
The presale price is only good intill the 14th of Aug, so let me know fast if your interested.
The came out better then we hoped, very tough and there is no flex in the mag tubes, even with the mount/mag clamp being as far back as it is.
I know anyone that gets these will be 100% happy with them.
In the pics you will also see some custom made mag tubes, i do not have a price on these yet but the sale price on the bayo lug is $75+ pst and $8 shipping after the 14th it will be $95 +pst and $8 shipping
I will be posting in the dealer pages in a few days to (mods please leave till then thanks):bigHug:
For those s that are interested please pm me for more info

You know, if you made a version with a short length of rail on either side so that I could still mount my light and laser as well as the bayonet, I'd be seriously interested...

yer that had been planed but just wanted to get this guy off the ground.
I still think you need to buy one :)

Hey Simon,

Looks sweet.

Do you need that mag extention to support the bayo?

I'd love one for the 14 inch, but I suspect it will have to be the 18 or 20 inch.

It'd be worth the price tag just to see the expression on my anti friends' faces when I say "Of course it has a legitimate sporting application; finishing off wounded deer and rabbits!" :)

Thing is that practically speaking, the odds of me needing to bayonet something are a lot lower than the odds of me needing the light or the laser, but dammit, a bayonet would just be so damn cool :).

You could allways put a laser on your bayonet. The Mall police love that.

Hey dave
no that mount is so strong that you dont need an other clamp on it.
I did some testing on sandbags and 6x1 no bending or movement at all.
its good to go

I'd say a mag extension, with an end that fits into the hole on the bayonet, is crucial.

doesnt look to tough to me. somethin tells me it would bend pritty easy

A second clamp closer to the end of the barrel would beef it up and be pretty cheap and easy insurance......

A second clamp even if not necessary(for sandbags) would look better and be stronger.......plus the two clamps could be connected with a pict. rail:rockOn:

OK, so let's think for a minute. Why would you put a bayonnette on your shotgun? Aside from our usual reason, 'cuz it looks funky and will piss off the Fudds at the club.

A bayonnette is like Dawn in a sink full of greasy dishwater. If the day ever comes when you have to guard your property with a gun, the guy who questions if you'd actually pull the trigger is far less likely to push the issue with a knife point at his ribs.

If you ever need to use it, you'll most likely only have to apply signifigant pressure once.

I have seen the mount personally, and it is stronger than it looks in the pictures. I think you would have to do some serious work to bend that thing. But, it is always easier to comment on something BEFORE you have actually seen it and tried it:rolleyes:

I wouldn't be worried about the mount breaking. I'd be worried about the fact their is no support to the mag tube by the muzzle. Stick that thing in a 2x4 and give it a twist and I can pretty much guaranty that you'll bend your mag tube. I believe this is why the original bayonet mount acted as a giant mag clamp at the muzzle end, to strengthen it against leveraging forces. Of course you could always add a mag tube to your gun, but to me that would sort of defeat the whole point of the thing. I'd be much more interested in something that replicated the original design, still, good on ya.

Oh, and before someone lambastes me for me having an opinion; when we first received the new Eickhorn bayonet in my unit we decided to put it through its paces on the bayonet range in Quantico, VA. Guess what, pretty much everyone had to have their barrels checked by the techs because we easily bent about 25% of them. On a bit of a side note, I'm not impressed with the durability of the new bayonet, it doesn't have a full tang, and quite a few of them snapped below the partial tang. It's a much more useful tool overall, but it is lacking in the one area that it was actually, supposedly, designed for.

Maybe they designed them to break off so they wouldn't have to replace 25% of the barrels!

ok well i know for a fact that the mount is like a rock, but just for the hell of it i did a small mod to a factory 870 mag clamp( cut the bottom off it ).
Added it to the mag tube as you can see in these pics.
I would say its like a rock but it all ready is, guess its like 2 rocks now :)
I would offer to do the mod and refinish anyones mag tube mount for free if they were to buy one of the mounts from us, the other thing you can do it buy a Tac-star mag clamp or do the mod to your mag clamp your self.
Everyone that pre ordered i,m going to try and get them out to you in the nexed few days ,but it may be the weekend befor i get them all out.
Once again thanks for the pre orders, i know your going to be very happy
