Co-workers dad passed away and left him with a pair of rather interesting rifles. He's looking to put a number on them for insurance reasons.

First off is a 1935 Brazilian 7x57 rifle with matching numbers, bayonet and muzzle cap. Beautiful shape, fired 1 box.
Second is a real Jungle carbine with matching bayonet and matching numbers, very good + shape.

Got lots of pics but looking for ballpark values. Mauser is a keeper, jungle carbine not so.
Whatcha figure?

Since the 1935 Brazilian has been fired, and you don't mention having the test target that originally came with the rifle, probably around $1000, give or take.

Likely 6-700 for the No. 5, assuming original, unaltered condition.

Jungle carbine with matching bayonet : never saw a matching bayonet for an enfield jungle. These Bayonet worth some money too... I would bet that if it is really matching number (my jungle bayonet has no serial...) and sold with the rifle, it would fetch more than 700$

I agree. I have seen lots of original jungle carbine bayonets over the years but never any with a serial number on them.

Couple of years ago I bought from friend of mine 1908 Brazilian Mauser 7x57, all #`s matching for $100. Since then I shoot it twice and recently got an offer for $1200.Not selling, but value is high.
