I recently purchased a Cooey 60, it is in good shape , no rust , I have cleaned it , and lightly oiled it , it double feeds when working the bolt , that is one round will be held correctly in the extractor , ready to chamber , but another round feeds in from underneath , jamming up the loading process, thanks for all your help

These old Cooeys are pretty much fool proof.
Try backing off the main screw and nut a quarter turn. The tube must be able to move freely.

Examine the tube follower for nicks or damage. This should also move freely. Is the tube itself perfectly straight ?
Do you get the same problem with feeding 22 shorts ?

Tube looks good , the rifle has not been beat up, tube moves freely , I notice the tube follower doesnt move up as high as my Cooey 600, I’m thinking the follower needs to be tweaked , these Cooeys can be finicky , to set
