Ruger PC Carbine

Taccom has a plain carbonfiber tube one available. Probably won't ship to Canada though so you'd have to import it.

Was wondering if anyone's heard of any attempt to create a PC Carbine magwell insert for 1911 magazines; looks like the feed angle is the same as Ruger's at least.

Also finding the stock doesn't have enough drop for my better half's shoulder sighting through the irons, though that might be fixed with a high-mount AR optic that would move the whole carbine that much downwards.

I've found even low-mount red dots like the RTS2 require a higher eye-line than the iron sights.

Is the serial number on the left side of the dash or the right or the whole thing? I got 91 on the left side and the right side ends with a 9. 91X - ###X9

EDIT: I did a QR Code scan and it is the same as the number stamped on the receiver, so I am thinking the full thing is the serial number.

Damn, it’s too bad Parker Mountain won’t export. That’s the nicest forend I’ve seen yet (IMO).

Has anyone else done any mods to theirs?

I see trigger kits out there ...

Hmmmm, I really like that forend but it looks like it’s going to add more heft to the rifle. Decisions, decisions.

Thanks for that link though. They have a few pieces from Galloway Precision that I am waiting for them to restock so I can place an order.

Anyone have an extended mag release for these yet? That and the extended charging handle are some things I’m looking at.

Just passed 1k rounds through mine with only one hangups which was a stove pipe, could have been the ammo though. I have looked through a few pages of this thread and anyone know of a place that has the Volquartsen trigger for these guys yet? Here's my little blaster.

After 500 rounds, mine is averaging 1 failure every 100 rounds. Mostly of the fail to eject variety. I had one where the spent case was standing upright and jammed into the ejection port because it just interference fits; I had to rip it out forcefully with my finger. This is using hand loads, 147gr Campro plated flat nose, 1.097" OAL, 4.23gr Silhouette. I might try the 124gr BDX FMJs to see if it helps reliability.

I'm getting impatient waiting for aftermarket stock/forend options to become widely available in Canada and am trying to figure out a decent way to attach a Magpul AFG to the forearm. I would also like it to be positioned further rearward than where the few picatinny rail slots currently are, and below is the best idea I've come up with so far:

Has anybody got a better idea? So far the only places I can find that carry the above adaptor charge twice as much for shipping as the price of the cantilever mount itself.

Thanks for looking!

Finally got to take mine out shooting outdoors. Man, it was fantastic! Shot a few types of ammo, felt rock solid with all of them. No problem nailing a gong at 50 yards with the open sights. I can see why some people may not love those ghost rings, but I find them very usable. The trigger is great, totally predictable and breaks nice and clean. Very happy with my purchase, looking forward to many years of fun shooting.

I shot mine Saturday during snow storm 50 rounds and 250 rounds today . Worked great , I shot fmj , HP's and cast lead all cycled fine . I found the supplied mag very hard to load . Do magpul Gmags work well with this rifle ? IMG_0480.jpgIMG_0504.jpg
