Anyone have this happen? I have 5 factory mags, and all will spit out the mag at random, so it must be something inside the well, affected by recoil. Is there a quick fix? This is a 9mm P226R.
  • I have checked my grip to make sure I am not somehow pressing the release while shooting.
  • Mags are inserted fully into the mag well with an audible click.
  • Gun is still fairly new, and mags are very stiff to load... any connection?
  • would different ammo make a difference? (don't see why, but had to ask.)

Not common on the 226. Take the grips off and see if you can check the release button is fully engaging the mag cut out. Is there any marks around the mag cut outs?

I get this on Range Glocks all the time when the mag catch gets worn. I would recommend replacing the catch as it is likely miscut or worn.

I second Redleg.
I am assuming these are SIG factory mags you are talking about. If it is happening on all 5-mags, then most likely a mag catch problem or perhaps the spring is loose, else strip the mag release and check the mag catch for wear, bur or cut.

Good luck. :)

Popcan the simple solution is the hold the gun sideways gansta style so gravity isn't pulling on the mags :D

I've had mags drop in my glock durring ipsc matches. that's always fun.

This might be a long shot ... but, I accidently use my Glock 22 BladeTech holster with my M&P9, it fits perfectly, except for the part by the mag release. Every time I loaded the gun and put the gun in the holster, the mag release was pressed. Every third or fourth time I drew the gun out of the holster, the mag would fall some or all of the way out, depending if I noticed or not. I shot three stages of an IDPA match until I realized what had happened.
