I’m just wondering but seeing as you guys are pretty much the main dealers in stags and the first to bring it into Canada were their any plans to bring in some stag pcc rifles especially with non restricted status?

The funny thing is, a normal ar15 upper will not fit on it..... so taking a que from rifles like modern sporters and other “ar15” unrestricted guns there should be a valid argument.

That’s what I though as well coupled with their cone shaped bolt face a standard Ar15 bolt won’t work either but no one can really tell what the lab or the rcmp will do.

I think the RCMP is running with the theory that any firearm derived from the AR15 platform is a "variant" and therefore restricted. Such as 308 AR rifles that are an up-sized AR15 instead of based on the original AR10. Of course they want to capture as many firearms into that category as possible to reduce the number of low-priced NR semi autos.

Unlike the US, I think there would be a market in Canada for a conversion bolt and magwell block to convert a Stag 10 to 5.56x45. It would probably cost 1/2 the price of an AR15 (~$300) so no one outside of Canada would buy it :).

The rcmp lab can easily convert CZ 858 and Swiss Arms rifles to fully automatic with common tools... :jerkit:

No. The cz858 were built on actions originally destined to be full auto guns, thus making them converted autos, and the SAN rifles were deemed variants of a named prohib. Neither being prohib has anything to do with the lab making them full auto.

Wait. What?

No different than all other PCCs.

Beretta CX4 Storm was originally restricted, but only because of barrel length. Then they came out with an 18.5” barrel that was non-restricted.

CZ Scorpion Evo 3, same thing. Only restricted because of barrel length, and NR with a longer barrel.

Sig is the same story. Either they come out with their own variant, or you have a new barrel put on and the length measured by a qualified gumsmith, and your firearm will become NR.
