I left mine in, and mounted an XS Sights Big Dot T (tritium) over it. The XS is designed to fit over the existing bead, with a two-part epoxy to weld everything in place.
This solved the "shoots high" relative to point of aim issue that these guns are known for.
Thanks
I have a hi viz site kit and just wanted to know what im getting into before i start tearing things appart.
I could just epoxy it like you said grelmar.
All the threads in the kit are non stsndard unless your a gun smith i think. All are extra fine
If i can find the right tap ill just rethread to match the kit as long as the hole is small enough. Or ill find one the drops in the hole and epoxy it in solid!
Removed the sight and threded it 3x.5
Maintenance guy had one so i did it right.
Unfortunately the small top side mounting side of the stud stripped while removing it from the gun.
So i hope the loctite does its thing and holds it on tight
