I don't care for the look of the 16" either. I prefer both the looks and increased inertia of the longer barrel.
Cabela's briefly had the 20" .22 in stock yesterday for $679, they were out of stock again by last night. They have some 17HMR left.
Prairie Gun Traders in Saskatchewan has, or had, at least one 20" .22 when I talked to them yesterday for $649.
The Gun Dealer has 3 16" .22 in stock, they either didn't get any 20" in the latest bunch or they were already spoken for.
Bass Pro is showing the T1x on it's not-so-amazing multi-national USD-priced website now, but there's no stock in Eastern Canada. You can probably tell I'm not a fan of their marketing strategy.
I don't know where all these rifles are going, but I'm going to say this is the hottest selling rimfire firearm I've ever seen on the market. Eventually that market will be saturated, but for now Tikka can't build them fast enough.
I want to pick one up and hold it before I buy.
