Hey Robert, Bullet Barn is looking to sell the business, not close up the business.
They have a very niche market and location if someone wanted to relocate to the Sunshine Coast and step into a turn key operation.
One can still order from BB for cast lead bullets, brass manufactured by Starline and other various cast reloading stuff.
Rusty Woods carried some of the product manufactured (cast bullets) all at very competitive pricing (almost the same price if one where dealing with BB directly)
Henry at Budget Shooter supply also can provide some brass and another brand of cast boolits
and that brand has a few less digits in the brindle hardness that what one buys from BB on the SSC.Also the diameter of cast bullets varies between manufacturers from .258 to .259 when we are talking about the .25 cal boolits for the 25-20.
I'm just sharing some info I have discovered or is it I am rambling on ?
I have some loaded ammo from EllWood Epp along with some dies and it would appear I may need the flaring die and a sizing die if I can not find some jacketed bullets in the near future when I am ready to reload some hunting/plinking rounds.
Thanks for sharing guys and I look forward to sharing some experience in the near future, be it just the accuracy of the Model 92 and factory ammo or my attempt at reloading .

Thanks for the advise fingers284, I will definitely keep an eye on my first few test loads to make sure they are not slipping then progressively load more in the tube. The bullets seem to be seating firmly and I am applying a crimp so hopefully it will be okay. I always appreciate advise from people with experience, it can sure save a lot of hassle in the long run.
Just a heads up... Remington 25-20 seems to be available from Londerosports.com (site sponsor). I just bought a couple of boxes of 50 and they show as being shipped this morning. Warning! You will want to sit down before you check the price.
Ellwood Epps had some a couple of weeks ago and I too bough a couple of boxes of loaded ammo.
International had some local to me @ $125.00 plus taxes of course...

If I can't get a bullet to sit on the brass and not fall off, most flat base bullets, I use the Lee flaring die to open brass up a little so it does.
I'm slowly working at resizing 500 new 32-20 Star Line brass down to 25-20. I start with a Redding 'Form & Trim-Series C 25-20' die #83218 then followed up with a Lee full length 25-20 Win resizing die.
The only issue I've had is using to much 'lube', Imperial Sizing Wax, a little goes a long way. To much will caused dimples in the area of the neck creating scrap. As soon as this happens it is best to clean the dies of any sizing wax buildup.
I've read some batches of brass will be harder than others, if you notice cracks and splits in the first few you try, it's best to anneal the rest before proceeding further.

Am reloading for a .25-20 Winchester, got everything together but had some questions....
- have .32-20 brass and new Hornady Dies - have resized cases before, do not expect this to be a problem, however finding any of the powders listed on the available data I has was. I have the Hornady & Speer manuals and Lois from the Bullet Barn (where the brass & bullets came from) was nice enough to send me a photo of some other data for their 85g bullet. (no gas check)
The only powder I was able to find was "2400", it was listed in all 3 data guides as "2400" I bought "Alliant 2400" assuming that this must be the correct one?
So:
1. What is up with all these guides listing just numbers and no vendor for powders? Is there any crossover - i.e. chance to make an error?
2. The powder is listed as a "Magnum" powder, which I didn't know until I saw the tub. Speer lists a couple recipes that require magnum primers, but 2400 is listed as a normal CCI 400. I don't need magnum primers unless the load data calls for them - right?

I use an old brass plumb bob to flare my .44-40 cases - just basically tap the case mouth and it flares them enough to ease bullet seating without wrinkling the case - then I run them through the sizing die (without the expander inserted) which does not quite crimp them, but does flatten out the flare.

mmm... ummm ... meehhh.... $40 for the die, $20 for a nice bob ~if you can find one~ with the bob, the flare won't be 100% consistent, but meh! with the die, you have another press operation to do ... I can do 100 cases with the bob in about 2 minutes .
I suppose it just depends on how precise you want to be
Use the Lee tool and you get the same neck expansion every time.

I think that data is from an old Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, from when only IMR was making 4227. At that time there was no reason to specify the manufacturer because there was only IMR.

That does look like it was taken from a Lyman Manual, either the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, or the Lyman Reloader's Manual. The oldest Lyman book I have is 45th edition published about 1975, and it already specifies IMR or H for 4198, 4227, 4895, 4831 etc.
I'd guess your data is from earlier than 1975.

I sure like to see all of this data & experience. Seems like once you get into the 25-20 you get hooked on it..
I am looking at my third 92 carbine in that caliber later this afternoon. I also have 3 Marlin 27-s pumps in 25-20.
My wife thinks it is a sickness... Me? I feel just fine thank you...
