S&W Model 52 info

Beside the right sight blade opening been too narrow... The 52's are great bullseye shooter!
- Rear sight blades are (were) readily available, so a few minutes with a file and you'll be good to go!

Minne worked best with a good roll-crimp on the reloads.

S&W model 52's still have the atrocious one in sixteen inch twist rate. A one in 10" or 12" would be better, but Smith never thought to update to a better twist rate. However, some 52 users have achieved outstanding scores.

There is a company newly manufacturing S&W 52 barrels with a faster twist rate, but the downside is the upfront acquistion costs, fitting costs, and you must have a 52 to retro fit!

Today, there are so many auto pistols that totally outclass the not-made-anymore 52.
