Aimpoint ACRO red dot

Was hitting steel at 50 yards with it at SHOT.

They released the ACRO C-1 at IWA.

We had a guy try out a Trijicon RMR on steel at 80yds and he was hitting it with his Glock. This was during set up for our last match as we were wondering if the stage was too harsh. It was easy for RDS equipped handguns but not so easy with open sights.

I’m sure the Aimpoint will compare well with the Leupold and Trijicon but esthetically, it’s not the most sleek thing out there.

What do you intend to mount it on?.....I was set on one till the dealer was un able to determine if there was a plate available to allow it to mount to the 509 dispite seeing it mounted on a few all ready. I’m sure I’ll be just as happy with trijicon for now!!!

It corrects all the significant shortcomings that all the other makes have that make them unsuitable for combat.

Heck it amazes me that SOCOM somehow picked up RMR's when it is a well-known fact that the littlest bit of dirt makes them #### the bed.

On the emitter?
Probably a case of the best tech at the time?

I was going to mount it on my P320 FS. Where do I look to see if a plate is available?

I thought the US chose the Leopold? That's what all the gun reviewers online are saying, to mount on their new Sig handguns

Oh I’d bet my left nut that if the acro is available in Canada it’s available in the USA......definitely call around!
Is there not a US gun forum to help ya out??

I stand corrected. There are 4 stores that currently sell them in town + Optic Planet and Midway and Brownell's. Seems to be going for around $590. Will be going to visit my LGS once I get back from Easter

I don't think the acro was out when socom trialled the dots.

Quick mini review, it looks bulky till you put it side by side with the rmr, because its fully englosed it looks chunky but it's actually pretty size comparable to other pistol dots, only this isn't affected by debris or weather..

I love the rmr but i think this is the new king of pistol dots as far as performance goes. But I am not an expert on the subject so I will have to defer that to people with more experience with dotted handguns than me.
