When I first started shooting in the 1990's I had all metal guns like the Beretta 92 FS, Browning Hi Power and 1911s. Over the years I went "practical and tactical" and replaced the above with polymer guns from HK, Glock, and Walther. As I got older I found myself missing the classic guns I foolishly sold years ago. In 2016 I decided to rectify the situation and commissioned an Heirloom Precision Pistol. I finally received it this year.

Colt .45 CCO
Kart barrel
Hardchrome finish
Gold line front sight
Cocobolo grips by Esmeralda

I will likely be selling most of my polymers in the near future. ;)

I've bought a few strikers but you're right, it's the metal that brings me the most joy. Nothing like a good, solid all-steel firearm in the hand.

Add an 18yr old blonde to that, and mid life crisis solved

This will only happen if you happen to be, in our parlance, "loaded". I'm sticking wiith my polymer and alloy/all-steel toys. You can put them in the safe when you get tired of playing with them. Also stickiing with the old gal, nothing fits better than an old shoe.
