Looked up atthe TV during a Dodge Ram commercial and for a split second thought I saw a truck trailering a B-25 front fuselage section. So I check out Youtube and lo and behold I DID see a B-25 (well sorta). Check out 16 and 20 seconds in.

So digging a little more and it turns out to be a neat project that involves young people...........doing something more then playing video games and becoming aspiring rap artists.

There was a number of organisations that build static replicas of famous aircraft.

Off the top of my head P-37 Los was build in Poland, some students in China build not particularly true 1:1 model of I-16,also in China full size SB-2 bomber was build but I haven't seen any progress of that project reported. In Russia replicas of tanks are build on regular bases so I'm sure someone is building aircraft replicas as well.

Farmer in China is building Airbus A320,it will be turned into a diner. https://www.ctvnews.ca/sci-tech/a-chinese-farmer-couldn-t-fly-a-plane-so-he-built-his-own-1.4152740

Flying replicas are so common parts kits are made for many years of WW1 machines and Spitfires,Hurricanes,P-40,P-47 etc...

Aero Trader is actually working on the last surviving B-25B (Doolittle Raid type; the "B" on display at Nat'l Museum of the USAF is an F-10 photorecon bird stripped down and rebuilt to cosmetically mimic a B-model) as I type this.

Wish I could get a parts kit to build a P-61 Black Widow...

I've driven Dodge diesels for the last 25 years. I had a 30 minute ride in a B-25. The Mitchell was waaaay more noisy than the diesels. I wore my ear defenders from my range box and was happy I did.

Being that the Mitchell has twin, fourteen cylinder 1,700HP radials, she's prone to being a little loud. Sound of freedom; same goes for the Beavs with the old two blade props on the -985. Hell of a noise!

Spent my early adult years turning wrench on DHC-3 Otter R1340s. Bikers don't know what Harley Heaven is, cause I been there!
Between that and classic rock, my tinnitis was a given...

I know a few guys who sat behind -1340s. She's as good an engine as any that Pratt made, just that damned prop reduction system that gave her a bad name.

Mind you, those guys had their hearing loss coming to them - back in the days before headsets. Sheesh...
