I received my TUF22 from Leigh at Dlask last week. I had the following rig made.
• Sporter chambered 12.5” barrel
• CNC bolt
• Ruger BX trigger pack
• Dlask adjustable V block
• Dlask bolt buffer
• Black charging handle.
To test it I dremeled my old 10/22 synthetic stock to sort of fit it. The barrel is not free floating.
I mounted an old Bushnell 3x9 rimfire scope in very high Leupold see through rings (the only 1 inchers I had) so I have only a chin weld, not a cheek weld. Shot off a front rest only. The rifle could do a lot better than what I shot today and there are a couple of fliers and they were all me.
I will get a better scope (not sure what) plus low rings and a proper stock, maybe a Magpul X22.
I tested nine types of ammo. The Quiets required hand cycling but the rest cycled well. I started to get sluggish extraction 3/4 of the way through the test but a squirt of WD40 got it running smoothly.
I forgot my large paper and targets at home so I made a backing from paper towels with quarter sized red dots I had in my range box.
The trigger is much better than my well broken in 10/22.
Best ammo was CCI Mini Mag (of course).
Other good performers were Fed Prem Gold Medal, Sellier & Bellot, American Eagle 38g HP, Fed Auto Match and maybe Win 333.
I shot it at 25 yards and then at 50 yards. The bigger groups marked Ruger at 25 yards are from sighting in my 10/22 with a TRS-25 red dot and CCI MM.
The Quiets required shooting with the lower post in my reticle and that brought its POI to the POA at 25 yards. Doing the same resulting in the POI being 3" below the POA, Not a choice for long range...…….
Now I'm waiting for my 25 round mag.
