What have you found wrong or not as good, with the Yugo and or Polish ones, I am about to order 1 or 2 surplus M54s, from a former sponsor, supposed to be in VG to excellent condition and great price.FWIW, having owned nearly every country's example (not north Korea though), I like the late production military chinese Tokarev the best. Chrome lined bore, improved hammer group, and durable. The Yugo guns "look" better, but all the ones I owned were less well made than a nice late chinese - strangely. The WW2 russian guns are the roughest and most inaccurate of the versions I have owned, but they do look the coolest![]()
Yes they do multiply, oh boy do they ever.I wonder if I put mine side by side they will start multiplying!
It is a sickness, but, I don't want a cure, " the only cure for Tokarev is more Tokarev! Caramel posted a pic of an M54 he got from the dealer who shall not be named, it looked great so I ordered one yesterday, a surplus Tok, and two mags for $199. In excellent condition!!! Everyone needs at least one at that price!Yes they do multiply, oh boy do they ever.
That is awesome Caramel, I am sure they appreciate it!I am know at 5 ordered lately, i supply my new RPALer with their first pistol and 100 rounds of ammo, in my family and friends circle the word is out that if you go and pass your RPAL i will supply you with a first pistol, doing my best to bring more to the sport.
PS: i am keeping a couple Type 54 for myself as i think they are a great value for the money.

Question: Does anyone else have a TT-33 with wood grips instead of the plastic ones with the star? I don't have a pic but mine has a set with sort of crudely checkered wood grips. I don't know the history of it I inherited it from an estate.
Been trying to find a TT-33 myself. Though I am being picky and want one that's pre/wartime to go with the Mosin. That is a much more difficult search...
Sfrc has TT33, you could call/ email to see if they have pre war ones available!Been trying to find a TT-33 myself. Though I am being picky and want one that's pre/wartime to go with the Mosin. That is a much more difficult search...
