Another CF2 for the herd, this one is in 222, had a few safe kisses I've been slowly steaming out, 5 minutes to clean the bore to spotless, as a bonus it was even neatly bedded. Hopefully it shoots as good as it looks.

It was this or a Savage Axis...had some tax money to blow and they were the same price, hope I made the right call lol.
It's kind of nice that these older rifles in classic chamberings have fallen out of favor with the new shooter crowd...more for me lol. I have a soft spot for the long action 222's, completely impractical, but they always shoot well.
Now if I could find one of these in 7x57, only a few hundred were made.

Beautiful rifle. That stock is gorgeous. I still prefer the older BSA models like the Majestic and the Royal line, though.

Been on the hunt for one of those in good shape, most I've come across are beat up or cracked stocks, or that horrible BESA brake, or in 30-06 which I already have too many of.
Parts are pretty scarce for those as well, and rings are pricey, which is why I gravitated to the CF2's. I can get parts, triggers are easy to adjust, action is extremely smooth, fast lock time, great barrels, Rem 700 bases, stocks made by SILE, on the heavy side though for sure.
This was the first one I picked up, 6.5x55, after using it for a bit I realized these were a steal for under $500, quite decent quality.
