Are there any 14" semi-auto shotguns in Canada?

My understanding is that the 14" semi-autos are "restricted".
If you can find one you should be able to buy it as a restricted firearm.
I've seen them in the Remington catalogue but they're probably for sale to the LEO's, only.

There was a member who was once selling an 11/87 with a spare 14" barrel. It was described as rare to come by.

Since it was a factory mod I believe you could have re-registered it as restricted . If I were to get a restricted shotgun I'd go shorter than 14".

I remember seeing a shotgun that came in two lengths: 16" with a folding stock or 14" with an integral stock. It was 12 ga., pistol grip, w/ 7 round detachable bottom fed magazine ported muzzle and tactical sights. Very sharp, should have bought it, didn't. I can't rightly remember the name though, although I believe it started w/ a V and sounded like "Velcro". Getting old I guess.

It was sold by Milarm in Edmonton, Alberta (I think they're online as well). If you check there they should be able to give you the info.

welcome aboard IC

The shotgun as you describe it- correctly - is a Valtro PM5, it uses detachable mags. Several board members have them and they come up for sale occasionally. It's a pump action -not a semi- and with the fixed stock is unrestricted with either the 14 inch or 18 inch barrel. Dealers only sold the folding stock version with the longer barrel because witrh the shorter barrel the gun would be under 26 inches and either prohib or at least restricted.

Yes their are 14" semi's in country. One of the board members was selling a 14"
Rem 1187 a while back. They are certainly rare and you may never see another one for sale. Not sure about other makes, what about Fabarm?

Yeah I think the 1187 14 was going for like $1300 or so... Also there were the short Wilson Combat ones (1187 customized) that I have seen around.

Going to revive a very old thread - does anyone know if DLASK makes a 12.5 or 14 inch barrel for the remington 1100 or 1187? I'd get one and re-register it with the new barrel if they did.
