Savage MK11 magazines in .17HMR

Thanks for the correction . You are right. but it sure looks identical other than engraving on the barrel. CanadianTire where I live has very little gun stuff so I will have to look elsewhere. Thanks for the info.
Even the wear on the bolt where the sear engages is identical.

That’s because they are identical, for all intents and purposes. Gotta be something different about the 93 version, other than the chamberings. My understanding is that the WMR and HMR mags are the same.

The WMR and HMR mags are the same, the .17HMR is just a necked down .22WMR case. The MKII is .22LR, the 93 is .22WMR and the 93R17 is .17HMR and the only difference between the 93 and 93R17 is the chambering.

Are the 93 mags a bit longer to accommodate the longer WMR rounds? If so the 93 would require a different mag well in addition to the different chamber.

Saw MKII mags on Bulls Eye London website, pretty sure the image had both 17 and 22LR on the packaging.

Of course...

The MKII's are built for the LR/HM2 round, the 93's for the WMR/HMR round...

Just like all off the other companies that make .22 LR rifles and .17 HMR rifles, the magazines and magwells and chambers and bores are adapted to the specific round, but for all intents and purposes the rifles are otherwise the same.
