Where can I get one? Seems 1957 is the cut off, which Ive tried and it came flying off...there was a deer on the ground after so I didnt mind too much!

Are these flat jobs with the narrow slot what yer looking for?
I have one on my '54 39A but they don't fit much else.

That's why you can't get one to fit, Marlins are built in America and made with inches :)

The hammer slot on these are 1/4" ...maybe 9/32"

Measuring a few of these round ones and they're all 8 or 9 of those mm you were talking about...looks like the flat ones are maybe 7mm but likely less. Not much precision going on here though. I just came inside for a coffee and a tape measure is all I have at hand.

Marlin didn't have hammer spurs for the pre D&T models 55/56 ish

Uncle Mike's makes a spur for all the D&T models from 57 on.

From what I have been reading, prior to '57 Marlin didn't D&T any of their rifles so hammer extensions weren't an issue. If you have a pre D&T era rifle that has been D&T you may have trouble finding a hammer spur.
That said, I have a '54 39a and it has a JM marked hammer spur identical to the flat ones in the pics I posted...so who knows...The flat ones in the pic have considerably smaller hammer grooves in them than any of the other round style spurs I have, even though it doesn't look like it in the pic, and they won't fit on any of my other Marlins...sadly. I like the flat ones better.

Mine has a Marlin marked hammer spur made before the lawyer proof crossbolt receiver safeties. Was a 30-30 now a 38-55

Check with CGN member Wild Bill Hickok. I think he has one of the blade styles left (I bought 2 off him). It may work. Practical Performance Products also may have one blade style left (dims for the this one were: slot 0.30 across and .10 in depth). There is an Allen screw for fit adjustment.
