Just got my MB 30 round magazine for my remington 597.
What I've found is that if you only put 25 rounds in it, it feeds pretty good.
(I've fired off 6 clips of 25 rounds). Its mis fired 3 times in total. But if I put 30 rounds(I can actually fit 32), the spring is at such an angle that it doesn't have enough pressure to feed the rounds(it seems to stick in the bottom of the mag).
The ammo I used was CCI Blazer, and remington thunderbolt.
My gun has always functioned flawlessly with these rounds, however, it will not cycle the federal bulk pack ammo.
Overall, I am more than satisfied with the mag.

Mine cycles the Federal Bulk packs without a hitch and Winchester Dynapoints no problem now (when I first got it it would jam with them) and will clip through an Eagle 32 round mag of Remington Subsonics without a hitch. I found that the Volquartsen hammer helped a lot with cycling as it is far more polished than the factory hammer, also my rifle has 4000+ rounds through it to which has smoothed everything up considerably. Both my Eagle mags have the same feed angle for the 32nd round as they have for the 1st round. Eagle recommends breaking the mags in by running 5 rounds, then 10 rounds, then 15 rounds, then 25 rounds and then 30 rounds, the lady said it helps the mag perhaps with the spring?

I brought mine home with me in person. I Got three of them!

I DK if you will have to pay but I get you will.

I only opened one of them and I am very happy with how they function in the gun and they seem very robust.

You will be happy!

Sniper22; PM sent :)

Got it, Thanks for the PM.

thats a nice rifle, is that the scope that came with the gun?
im thinking about forgetting the 1022 and getting a remmy instead
can you get a side folding stock for the remy?

That would be a no on the folding stock, and most other upgrades. VQ makes a hammer and an extractor for the 597, and eagle make the 30 rounder and a muzzle break, and you can find some stocks for them as well. Unlike the 10/22 the 597 is very accurate once you tweak the factory parts.

Yeppers, just ordered 4 more mags at 23.95 a piece with free shipping and are being shipped by United States Postal Service! Yay!

I just ordered 2 today. Free shipping to Canada. Not sure if there will be any customs charges? Anyone else out there that's had to pay up?? :canadaFlag:

I think I'm going to be sick... ordered mine back in May.
Someone at USPS decided they needed them more than me :( as Canada Post only received the wrapper.
Re-ordered and had them sent to a U.S. address... still waiting.
So... decided to buy a 10/22 to get my frustrations out and immediately ordered mags from S.I.R. (along with of few other things, of course). You know, just to be on the safe side. Package arrives... no mags... back ordered.
THE HIGH CAPACITY MAG GODS HATE ME!!:bangHead:

there there.. dont worry we all lose stuff in the mail, just prey to the gun gods every night before bed and one day you'll get you wish :D

yes, yes it does indeed, remember to sleep tight and dont let the liberals bite,
and soon you mags will appear.
