The Maple Ridge Armoury Enhanced Bolt Assembly is a precision machined, US MilSpec bolt for the AR-15, M16, M4 series semi-automatic firearm. All bolts are ground after heat treatment and then MPI tested as part of our strict quality control. Our Enhanced bolt assembly is nitro-carbuized, cryogenically stress relieved and black nitride treated providing excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance, hardness , and lubricity. The bolt face is chamfered to assist with engagement with the cartridge and along with the rubber extractor insert assist in ejection of the spent case.

Thanks for asking. I suppose its all relative.

Compared to a phosphate bolt, our bolt has an enhanced heat treatment. The ARCOR Nitride provides superior hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance and the cryo-stress relief is an arguably superior method of stress relief.

Compared to another premium Nitride bolt, then ours is not enhanced, it is comparable but made in Canada.
