That was our interpretation. They never responded to "what about the chips that could be recycled and used to make firearms with?"

Well you are partially correct. They did state in a memo that any 80% lowers were now prohibited, the question I posed to them is at what point do we assign a serial number? The reply was that IF a piece of material is intended to become a controlled part (frame/reciever) as soon as it is no longer in the condition it arrived in, it was then destined to become a firearm hence a serial number must be applied.
You are correct however that the actual laws have not changed so whether their memo would stand up in court is questionable. I just like screwing with them.

I applaud your efforts!

On the off chance that happens they will nickel and dime you. The firearm would have to be functional (not just the lower) and you'll be given the equivalent of a weeks worth of latte's for your wife.

If confiscation happens, we are in SHTF territory. History will repeat itself, tyranny will ensue.
I have to disagree, the controlled/restricted item would be the frame/lower etc. Similar to all the sponsors selling frames so that rpal holders can, say they have a restricted, the rest is just parts, I would keep the parts until the government is forced to give back my property, the frame, lower etc. If others want to they could sell the parts( to buyers in another country) to recoup some of the money they lost. I have two AR-15 lowers, which are considered the firearm as that is what is restricted, all the rest I can buy over the counter!

People seem obsessed with getting prohibited licenses. You realize that if you do get a prohib class license, that only applies to the gun you already owned that became prohib.. you can’t go out and start buying ppk’s, snub noses etc..

I think “most” people understand this ...... but at least it’s one more category of firearms that “you” can still own, if you get grandfathered. Plus, the more people the better. I believe that’s what most people are thinking.

Yes, plus if it got to the point of prohib or confiscation,,, prohib gives us time to fight for change and possibly get them re categorized by a different, more reasonable government.

How about we straight up tell them we ain't gonna take any more of this ####, PERIOD, instead of appearing like weak-ass scared subjects by pre-accepting compromises and nonsensical bull####.

This "oh well when you think of it it wouldn't be too bad after all" mentality that I'm seeing all over the forum makes me sick. We're appearing like a soft target when we should be appearing like that unsurpassable wall that absolutely will not budge no matter what.

I agree, all this, oh maybe we’ll be grandfathered is a pile of Sh!t.
They can shove that up their azz.
I,m not going to jail, because I got people who depend on me, but I’m not giving up anything either.
There’s other avenues.
Also if anybody thinks this will only cost them the amount of votes that equals AR owners, they better recalibrate,
Every AR/Handgun owner has at least 4 other people who they can persuade sho to vote for.

So the lib #### sucker S had better do their math.

Anyway, I think this is mostly just another BS rumor, no different than the others.

Lol sorry for the rant , but it’s whiskey night.
