Trying to identify a round that I have come across

Hi All

I have recently come across a cartridge that has me stumped in identifying it.

It is a rimmed cartridge.
It is centerfire
There does not appear to be a headstamp on the base

It has the following dimensions

Overall length 0.918 inches
Case length 0.479 inches
Case Diameter at mouth 0.308 inches
Case Diameter at base 0.314 inches
Rim Diameter 0.379 inches
Rim width is roughly 0.0325 inches
Bullet diameter at case mouth is 0.268

I am puzzled, any help would be appreciated my cartidges pof the world has been helpful in eliminating some possibilities and some online sources have eliminated others but nothing definitive has been decided on it.

I am figuring something in the 25 cal range for a revolver or maybe an old lever rifle

Nope, 38S&W i have ammo for my enfield and it isn't even close in overall dimensions.

I would think its most possibly a pistol cartridge . ( Derringer ,muff,pocket type pistol )
Is it one piece formed copper ?or is a turned case ?
It does look to be one piece case
Possibly a rim to center fire conversion caliber .
It looks to be a rather long bullet .
Might be a velo dog

For the life of me I can not find the thread now.
Antique rifles or was it in the ammo section??
An old rifle of European origins..
There was mid-week last where a member posted his rifle and a bunch of cartridges that looked very similar.
I am sure the answer will crop up later this week or sooner.

7mm Scheiben Pistol came in various lengths although not typically that short. The other dimensions are very close.

Hi. When I was a kid, some few moons ago I had one of those, I believe it belongs to a toy gun set, The one I had, identical to yours, just pulled apart. The "bullet" was machined to achieve a step below the "case" top to allow the bullet to fit. There was no primer flash-hole in mine and the bullet was hollow.
Just my two cents.
