SourceCC clearing out small safes, use for pistols?

My Garrison safe (exactly the same safe) is starting to play tunes at 3:00am, quite annoying, am going to try to put more expensive batteries and clean the contacts, not sure if a voltage drop is buggering up the board, I am presently using the key for now.

That sucks, eh? The first and most important mod to these Garrisons is to de-solder the little 'buzzer' unit. It makes them much nicer to use not to mention stealthier...

I think you are on the right track with fresh batteries and a contact cleaning though.
 
just bought one 30 minutes ago 1 of the last 2 in the montreal region i think it will do the job. dont whant to hijack this thread but it is ok to but a pistol without trigger lock in that safe right?????

If it is a safe, then yes, no trigger lock is required plus you can have a loaded magazine or speed loader in the safe as long as the magazine is not in the pistol.

Too bad in the peg they only have 2 and they're across town from me (and they all just close lol)

I'll give'em a call tomorrow to see if they have any left since the online tracker I dont think updates regularily.

ThanX for the heads up though... and yeah it'd be cool to see a 'best deals' section or something like it.

Don't bother with the KP Store - thats the one I snagged.
 
Thanks for the heads up. Just snagged the last flat opening one in Richmond, BC. It is nice and the price is right.

The remaining one in Richmond is battery dead with no key to unlock. Save yourself a trip.
 
just bought one aletronic dosent work on it changed thes batteries and still nothing arghhhhhhhh it was the last one god dammit i am going to return it adios beautifull cheap little safe............:confused:

i just got one tooo and same problem as urs
im just gonna use key for now and find a day to take it apart to check the electronics

one other question on safes..... is the safe considered "safe" if it is not bolted to anything?
cause I dun have anything in my room that i can bolt the safe on top
