Compact 9mm pistol recommendation

I have a Boberg and a Glock 27. Boberg has problems with non-crimped ammo, the recoil will cause the projectile from the next round to come out of the brass. Glock 27 is a 40 S&W and has a pretty good kick. Both could be carried in your pocket if need be.

^ copy that.

I'll crimp ammo for it once you sell it to me :)

What's this glock 27 ?? Small ?? You have a prohib cause I don't , can sell me that too. Googling

Looked into it .... prolly has the Canadian barrel extension thinga ma jig ..... na don't care for the look of those pistols.

G48 catches my eye and of course the bo

I have a Boberg but prefer shooting the Glock 43.

One option is to put the top end of the Glock 48 on the G43 frame for a real compact piece without a pinocchio barrel. Hmmm...I'm going to have to see if I can just order barrel and slide!!!!

Nobody has mentioned the best of the bunch in terms of build quality, innate accuracy and reliability. The Kriss Sphinx SDP Compact is à sweet little Swiss-manufactured 9mm based on the CZ75 slide-inside-frame fìtment which enhances accuracy and reliability. Mine ìs the upgraded all-metal version with a stainless Slide and Upper Frame mated to an aluminum Grip. The standard model has a 2-part Frame consisting of Aluminum Rails mated to a Polymer Grip. These are simply outstanding handguns, worth every penny of their premium price-point.

I have come to appreciate my G-19, which I purchased just so I could bad mouth it with first hand experience and list a bunch of reasons why the 1911 is better. As it turns out the Glock does one thing the 1911 doesn't do, which is provide you with a reliable out of the box gun that you can put in a holster and stake your life on without a 4-500 round break in or spending an extra grand and 6 weeks with a gunsmith for the extras you can't live without. Once a 1911 is correctly set up, there's nothing better, but if the idea is to walk into a store and walk out with a pistol on your belt that you can protect yourself with, the Glock wins. The first G-17 I was exposed to was terrible, the trigger was so heavy it made my hand hurt, and this jaded me against the brand for a log time, but the triggers on these newer pistols are hard not to like, and I've never experienced a stoppage with it. If I was going to complain about anything its that for some reason my trigger finger drags along the inside surface of the trigger guard and gets tender after extended shooting sessions. If compactness is your primary aim, a single stack gun has a slimmer profile so a Glock 48 is where I would look.

Good looking pistol...

Anyone know where u can get the grips proffessionally grip taped or whatever its called,in ALberta /Canada ?? Textured ?

You mean stippled? Is it a Polymer frame? If so, Black Box Customs in Calgary ought to be able to do the work. There are other options in Calgary as well, through Calgary Shooting Center and The Shooting Edge.

If it is a steel or aluminum frame, just get a set of Talon Grips in either "grip-tape" Granular texture or Rubberized. I personally prefer and use the rubberized Talon Grips on all of my handguns. Polymer or metal, they all benefit from the addition of Talon Grips. Best of all they ship direct and quickly to Canada. https://talongungrips.com

Harry Callahan, that Benelli a beautiful piece of functional art. I suspect it's super accurate and very ergonomic.

If you buy a Nork 1911, they run right out of the box, and shoot where you point them (9 and 45); had both, still have my .45. Injection molded Plastic is for car-parts (maybe); toys, and 50% of everything else that we regularly dispose of. Real guns are made of steel!! LOL

The glock 19 gen 4 is a very sweet and affordable pistol. It feels better in my hand than a glock 17.

I'd also check our the Styer M9 (or s9). Picked my M9 up with trapezoid sights for $400 on the EE.

If you're ever west of Ottawa you can swing by and check them all out.
