Girsan 92 Clone?

Fantastic pistol. Bought mine used and it has been without issues. I estimate at least 2k rounds have been down the pipe and I have had fail to file that was a primer issue; tap rack and on we went! Very pleased with mine, having said that I might part ways with it in the near future due to change in interests.

I had every intention of selling mine earlier this year when I bought an M&P, but I honestly shoot better with the Girsan... That, and it gives me something to fiddle around with while I watch basically any 80s action film...

I bought the olive green one. Beautiful finish. Unfired thus far. Getting around to it.....been too busy....lol!

I also have a Girsan Y16 compact model with the rail, black of course. It is a sweet little pistol. I don't find anything on it to be "lacking" like on other knock offs/ clones etc. Its got a decent trigger and all the parts seem to fit nicely. The grips I find to be slim enough that the grip doesn't seem to chunky, unlike the genuine 92. I have had no issues with it so far and it has run smoothly. My only beef is with the finger grooves, sights and the lack of holster options. But even then, the finger grooves are fine, really its more of an aesthetics thing. The sight are... crappy but they work and as far as holsters go, I use Safariland for my other blasters but I can't seem to find one that fits this model. My fault for choosing the railed compact.

Sorry to revive an old thread. I have a railed version arriving this week. What holsters are you guys running. Do most M9/92fs ones work?

Soley Canadian made one for my Beretta 92 Compact with the rail. My Girsan with a rail fits it like a glove. Get hold of Tim and he will make one up for you.

To those worried about Turkey and the Dictator, all the people in Turkey and the employees of Girsan are not to blame for the guy in charge. No more than the Canadians who hate Turkey are responsible for the Village Idiot in charge of our Government. FYI some if not all of CZ shotguns are also made in Turkey.

Take Care

Bob
