Hi everyone, looking for information. I have a Taurus that needs some warranty work and am running into a brick wall. I have phoned several local gun dealers and they don't know of any ! ??? I contacted Taurus USA and at first they said I should contact Snapshot Guns, which I did only to find out they no longer do warranty or any service work. I contacted Taurus USA again and this time, they said they only deal with US sold guns and they do not care about any sold in Canada. Sent an email direct to Taurus, no reply , bloody unbelievable from any manufacturer !! Does anyone know of a warranty depot for Taurus, anywhere in Canada ???? Thanks for your time, greatly appreciated.

Years ago I sent a blown up 94? I think it was, 22 revolver back to them, it was a old beat up thing, they rebarreled it, polished and reblued it, and sent it back , no charge.
Life time warrenty, course that was 30+ yrs ago, and a 4 in gun. These days, just find a gunsmith, What's wrong?

Lucky you !! My Pt24/7G2 9mm, which has a double strike capability. Has a very stacking - notchey trigger in DA. Better in SA. The gun has a long take up compared to my other handguns which does not bother me. But I find with the long take up I then run into a very stacking trigger which is always pulling me off target. I grab any of my other guns and no issue because it's smoother no matter what the poundage is. I would like to smooth things out but am worried about pulling this gun apart, no vids to guide me in case i screw up.

SnapShots didn't retire. According to their website they do Rossi, Taurus and Ruger warranty work.

This all started when Taurus told me to contact SnapShots, which I did. They responded quickly, stating they no longer do warranty or any service work on Taurus. That's why I asked everyone here . I also contacted Grech and they said they do not service Taurus. I have the Canadian Importer trying to get an answer for me, and of this very minute, still waiting, still looking.

Good to know! Maybe SnapShots needs to update their website.

It's too bad because I like some of those Taurus revolvers... Rossi too. They're mostly based on the Smith K frames and are very light weight, and usually look really nice for the money. They're a good way to get new shooters into revolvers because of their price.

This warranty issue is the main reason I can't ever recommend them to people. They're easy enough to work on but parts availability even to their warranty depots have plagued both brands for decades.

I suspect that's what went on with SnapShots. They got tired of being blamed for taking too long for warranty work when it was the factories not supporting them with parts.
