Drilling rifle caliber help

So I picked up this rifle in 16Ga and 9.3 x ?? I know the common caliber for this is 9.3 x 72R, can anyone tell me more from the markings. is was sold as a mauser round but not looking like that to me. what does the 8.4 stamp represent? Tried to do a casting today, but failed to get it out. So i melted it out and will have to clean the bore and try again. maybe I had the Cerrosafe to far into the rifling but there was no way it was coming out.

I believe the 8.4 designates an 8.4 gram round ball which provided the basis of the proof load. I would have thought that a 129 gr ball was pretty light for a 9.3 bore rifle, but I guess that's how they did things.

I can’t help you on caliber or cartridge on that barrel, but FYI, that’s not a drilling. A drilling is a three barrel. I think that gun is referred to as a cape gun. Regardless, that maker is a low quality Belgian name. I would have a competent gunsmith look it over very carefully before you shoot it.
 
A friend has a similar Belgium cape gun, his is in 9.3 x57........There are several variations of the 9.3 in a variety of lengths. I would try the chamber cast again; first lub the chamber with a light film of oil and put a small pc of tp in the bore just ahead of the chamber, the casting will tap out from the muzzle with a cleaning rod.
