SEB came out with a 'reasonably' priced, lighter version of the famed Joystick SEB Neo front rest seen at so many benchrest shoots.

12 pounds and much more compact and mobile, and the reviews have been outstanding.

There are no dealers in Canada and the US dealer can only ship in the US.

That was implied to me in his emails, though he didn't specifically say no.

He wrote "If you are shipping to a US address I can serve you".

It is US$ 840 with front sand bag of your choice and a case.

Delivery is currently running 3 months, they are halfway though a run of Minis now.

The Neos are still running 8-12 months.

Nj, I have been using SEB products for several years as well as many people I shoot with. Getting SEB products in Canada has always been a pita, I have seen the Extreme products and talked to people who have used them. Extreme does a fantastic job of copying sh-t, it is easy to copy and make slight improvements while your at it. If I was in need of a rest I would be getting it from Brent with no hesitations!!
Marc
PS. Good luck dealing direct with SEB

I'm also noticing that mini from Extreme is $999.99, by the time you convert your cdn pesos to usd you will be over $1100.00

Well, he has something mixed up.
He says Extreme, and $999.99 and none of that relates to SEB Mini at $840 USD. ???

I have 2 seb neo rest, and multiple bags, I've had no issues getting parts and support directly from Seb, or Earnie.
I'd rather support Seb because with the limited canadian market I don't think there is going to be ongoing customer support in say a year or 3 down the road, you might save money now, but me thinks you'd be in for a headache down the road

Price is very similar between the extreme and the seb.
If there was a big dollar difference the decision would be harder.
I will take a Seb hands down. He offers support for his products and also helps the shooting sports lots
SEBS are very well built and are an awsome rest. Well worth the wait.
All you need to do is go to some shoots down south and have a look around.

Thanks to an incredibly nice gentleman who ended up with 2 SEB Minis I now own one.

Wow. The fit and finish are superb, it is incredibly robust, designed and, well, a work of art.

Pictures do not do it justice.

Lucky you! I am searching for a Seb Mini also.

Lucky you for not getting the knock off, I unfortunately bought one... What a sloppy pos, an absolute joke, would be expensive at 1/3 the price..I've been tempted to though it off the bridge:(
