Guy's i have this no1 mk3 that i just purchased and i would like to get an idea on what it is worth since the prices on everything seem to be jumping.
It is a 1915 smle that imho is in vg shape considering how old it is and what it has gone through. The wood is in great shape except for the saw marks on the top of the wrist on the butt, now i don't know if it was made by a saw or a bored soldier and his bayonet, it's not new anyway. The bolt does not match and i can't tell if the mag matches but everything else does, i even noticed that the forearm near the bayo lug is stamped with the serial #, kind of like what Savage did on the No.4's, could that be a refurb? or did they do that. The rear sight is not pinned and can still move for windage, the bore on this is like a mirror with no signs of frosting that i can see. The volley sights, the piling swivel, and 1915 dated leather sling are all intact.
