With a new S&W M&P15 on the way, I've been thinking of a hard case for transport, and sometimes storage. I'd love to support Nanuk as they are made in Canada, but they are a little on the pricey side. Are there any other less expensive hard cases anyone can recommend?

Plano make lower cost cases, cabelas carry them

I have a Plano case and I like it. I think it was around 70 bucks at Cabelas

Crappy tire and Walmart periodically have Huntshield and Plano on sale.

Pelican 1700 or 1720 is the best though - keep an eye on Kijiji, they pop up once in a while for $120-150 or so

The shipping is the killer. Production Case has free shipping on orders over $150.

If you might fly, the 1615 and 1700 are small enough to be a regular checked bag. Everything else - 1720, 1750, etc. - would be oversize, with a corresponding oversize charge.

Huntshield at CTC is heavy but good and often on sale for 1/2 price.i have no problem throwing it in the truck bed for a direct trip to the range if the cab is loaded up. Has multiple catches and places for locks.

Cabela's brand hard gun cases, they go on sale for $99 and free shipping at $99 or free every other week or so.
